Carcassonne on Xbox Live Arcade

Carcassonne is now available on Xbox Live Arcade for 800 Microsoft Points. The game was released yesterday and is a port of the classic boardgame of the same name combined with The Rivers expansion.

The game is for 2 - 5 players and is based in medieval France. Each player takes turns to place randomly drawn tiles to complete towns, roads, farms or monasteries and lay claim to these by placing one of your followers on the tile. To win the game you need to accrue more points than your rivals.

The trial version gives you access to the basic tutorial and allows you to play 19 turns of the single player game. I've played the trial a few times and found it to be quite an enjoyable, light hearted game and I'll be posting up a full review of the game in the near future.
